Classwork Fall 2o12

Illustrations for class. More to come as class goes on.
Warthog enjoying the warmth of a fireplace in a posh living room. Attempt at the theme of opposites. I can't think of anything more opposite than a tame victorian setting and a wild beast.
Spoof of the common alcohol illustrations in the 19th century. Laudinum was a tincture of alcohol and opium. It had lots of crazy other stuff like morphine in it too. It was popularly used as a pain killer and for a variety of other medical purposes.

I am aware it looks like some self injury thing. I did not intend it to be, and you can all stop bothering me about it. The fact is an open bleeding wound had much more decorative and aesthetic potential than gout or diarrhea.
Character design for my children's Book class.

This is Lester. He is based of a Nisse. During the day he is ceramic match holder, and nobody wants to buy him because he is ugly. So every night he wakes up and mopes about because nobody wants him, and even the mice think he is pretty dull.
